Cruise Photos

No matter what I do my photos always end up out of order when I think I am putting them in order. But at least you will get the idea of what we did and how much fun we had. Chris just coming out of the water after a few hours of snorkeling. He loved it.

My hubby the fish. He usually doesn't go swimming very often because of his contacts, but was excited when he was able to snorkel.

There were tons of Iguanas on the Coco Cay Island. I got brave then knelt down so Chris could take a picture of me with them in the back ground.

The 3 in the center of the photo were the biggest ones we saw. We counted a total of 10 I think.

More of these nasty reptiles.

The water was so warm and crystal clear. You could walk out for miles before the water started to get deep.

View of our ship from the island.

Chris and I kicking back in one of the hammocks that are all over the island.

All I can say is this beach was heaven to me and I didn't want the day to end.

We had to take a smaller boat from our ship to get to coco cay. This is the view of us entering the island.

The boat we had to board to get to the island.

The view of Coco Cay from our cruise ship.

On the ship there is an attendant that makes up your room everyday. Well one night coming back from dinner we found this dog made of towels on the bed with my sunglasses. I thought he was the cutest.

One afternoon they were having belly flop competitions. The biggest guy did the worst flop. I was very disappointed and this skinny guy had the best flop.

Chris and I hanging out poolside getting some sun.

This is us arriving in Key West Florida. It is a beautiful town. The red building in the back in a museum and it stands out like a sore thumb.

The entire time in Key West I pretty much just shopped. Chris was getting pretty bored.

HUGE Statue in front of the art museum.

My Handsome Hubby. The homes in Key west were beautiful.

The center area of the cruise ship. This is where we had some dancing and bands play.

Enjoying our time together with no children. Having a smooch.

This is when we first boarded the ship. Miami Florida is in the back ground.

Our stateroom. They are so tiny. But it was very nice.

Top deck pool side is where we hung out most of the time and where a lot of the parties and dancing was held.

View of Miami from our Hotel window. I was looking in the water to see if I could see an alligator. Bummed that there wasn't one.
Well I took over 100 pictures on our cruise but I just thought I would show you some of the highlights of it. I highly recommend a cruise to anyone. People who usually don't think they will like it end up loving it. I hope you enjoyed the photos. Sorry it took so long to post.

Looks like you had a great time. We remember almost all of those exact sites. The statue was different though. (?) We'd love to go again -- but nobody at my work has been offering me free cruises.

Dear Choir Friends of Bobbie Wood,

With aching heart I forward the sad news below. Are we ever ready to lose those we adore? How lucky for God and Ray that they will soon have her back to grace the great hereafter. How lucky for us that we got to be her friends.

Let's work together to gather the contacts Mike requested. Could you forward to others who were close to Bobbie and Ray and copy me so I can capture those email addresses for Mike. Does anyone have current contact info for Paula Carlson? Richard Milius? Loretta Nichols?

Dear Becky,

I thought you might like to know that although my Mom has fought a steady and dedicated fight for the past two years, we have had to take her to hospice so she could have the specialized end-of-life care she needs. I am here in Vancouver, along with my brothers and will be until the end, which the doctors say could be within a week. Of course they could be wrong, but the fact is, Ovarian Cancer has won the war and within days, mom’s vital organs will shut down. She is not able to eat or drink anything and her vital signs are deteriorating. She is semi-conscious but stirs when she hears voices she knows. Occasionally she whispers a few words in conversation, mostly “I love you” or “Are you all right?” to her family and friends that come to see her. What a lady she is. We have Southern California Mormon Choir recordings, hymns, as well as recordings of my Dad playing on her iPod next to her bed. She loves the music, especially when my Dad sings the arias from “The Elijah”. Thank goodness we have this music to soothe her.

I would be extremely grateful if you would forward this message to Mom’s choir friends or anyone else you think might know her. We are collecting email addresses for the eventual services announcement, so please have interested folks send their contact info to me at the below email address.

An announcement for services will be sent out when that time comes to all those for which we have addresses. There will be a funeral here in Vancouver and an extended visitation at Douglass and Zook in Monrovia, with a grave dedication at Rose Hills.

My brothers and I thank you very much for your help, your friendship over the years, and your continued prayers.

Sincerely yours,

Michael
